The Board of Trustees wants to be responsive to the needs of the communities it represents. Any individual or group may address the Board, provided certain procedures are followed in arranging for and making presentations.
Persons wishing to address the Board should complete a speaker's card, available at the sign-in table outside of the Board Room. Once filled out, please give the card to the Recording Secretary prior to the beginning of the meeting.
Members of the public may address the Board regarding items on the agenda as these items are taken up by the Board. Those wishing to address matters not on the agenda can do so immediately prior to the adjournment to closed session or, in the absence of a closed session, at the conclusion of all other public session business.
The Board permits a maximum of three minutes for any speaker and 20 minutes for any subject. All those who speak are expected to be courteous and to avoid remarks which reflect adversely on any individual.
Those wishing to place an item on the Board agenda must present a written request to the Office of the Chancellor before noon on Tuesday the week preceding the next regular meeting of the Board of Trustees. The request must include general information on the subject to be discussed and any action to be requested, the names of those who wish to speak, and the organization or group represented.
