Per Diem rates during travel, which includes incidental expenses.

The District will be using a new method for our Per Diem Rate, which includes incidental expenses. This follows the US General Services Administration (GSA) M&IE Breakdown guidelines.

Looking Up Per Diem Rates

  1. Navigate to the GSA's Per Diem lookup tool.
  2. Select the appropriate fiscal year. By default, this is set to the current year.
  3. Select the destination state.
  4. Type the destination city and hit enter.
  5. Per diem and incidental rates will be listed on the M&EI. Make sure to disregard the lodging rates.

The mileage and per diem rates apply to the dates on which the travel took place. If seeking reimbursement for travel prior to January 1, 2026, please use last year's rates.
