Our Educational Partnerships
NOCCCD participates in a variety of educational partnerships and programs with local schools and school districts with a goal of supporting student success and increasing equity through education.
This includes working with K-12 districts to encourage and prepare students of all ages for college, as well as giving current college students the resources that will help them excel in their programs and be transfer ready for the four-year degree schools of their choice.
Some programs begin as early as elementary school, helping children to see themselves as life-long learners with the confidence to pursue education at all levels. Our high school collaborations guide students with their A-G requirements. Counseling, mentoring, financial aid and transfer information are also available.
NOCCCD Educational Partnerships
The Anaheim Pledge is a program designed to help support students from kindergarten through to college graduation. The Pledge is a partnership including:
- Anaheim Elementary School District
- Anaheim Union High School District
- Cypress College
- Fullerton College
- California State University Fullerton
- University of California, Irvine
Students receive experiences to help them envision themselves in college, guidance on admission requirements and the financial aid system, opportunities for dual enrollment classes so they can earn college credit before even leaving high school, and more.
The pledge partners are committed to providing students the framework, resources, and opportunities to succeed in college and beyond.
Dual enrollment opportunities let students from partnered Districts attend classes at Cypress College and Fullerton College prior to high school graduation. These classes count for college credit and can be applied toward certificates, degrees, or transfer to other institutions – all at no cost.
Some UCs and CSUs participate in Transfer Guarantee programs with California community colleges. Students who complete specific requirements can guarantee themselves a place in select four-year universities. For detailed information on the schools and guidelines, please visit the individual college sites.
