District Information Services provides Computer and Telecommunication Technology (CaTT) services to support the mission of the North Orange County Community College District.  As a service division, through customer requests and committee input, we provide leadership, support, and assistance in the areas of business practices, technology development, training, and maintenance.

Overview of Information Services Department

 

Servers

District Information Services is divided into three sub-groups, each having Distinct responsibility for controlling and moving forward the technology and services provided. The sub-groups are Technical Support, Applications Support, and Administrative Support. Each sub-group is the responsibility of a manager.  The managers report to the District Director of Information Services who oversees the department operations and project development. 

Within each of the sub-groups there is technical expertise to cover a wide range of technology and services. 

Technical Support

  • Wide area network and PC maintenance services. 
  • Scheduling the operation and maintenance of the Enterprise server.
  • Support of the internal operating systems as well as future specifications for software and hardware. 
     

Applications Support

  • Enterprise server programming services. 
  • PC Application services.
  • Customer service and training.
  • Application needs analysis. 
     

Administrative Support

  • Procurement of software and hardware for customers within the District.
  • Technical and user documentation.
  • Budgeting and clerical functions for the department.
  • Internal responsibility for development of department policies and procedures.
