Question: I want to complete the application online, but I cannot open the document. What should I do?
Answer: To open the application online, you need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer.
If you do not have Acrobat installed you can download it, without any charge, from the Adobe web site (Click the Acrobat Reader icon and then follow the on-screen instructions).
If you already have the program and still cannot open the application, contact the District Office of Human Resources to request an application. The application package will be mailed out to you the following business day.
Question: Some of the fields in the online employment application form are too small. I cannot fit all the information inside the field. What should I do?
Answer: Each field on the application has a predetermined number of characters. Type as much information as the field allows. Use your resume to provide any information you were unable to enter in the form.
Question: How will I be notified of the status of my employment application?
Answer: The selection process takes several weeks. You will be contacted either by mail or telephone.
Question: I applied for a job with the District and recently moved. Whom should I contact to provide my new address and phone number?

Question: Some classified positions require a typing test. Will you accept a typing certificate from another institution or agency?
Answer: No, the typing test needs to be performed at our District facility using our computer typing software.

Question: I completed a part-time academic application for Cypress College. Can my application be considered for employment opportunities at Fullerton College also?
Answer: No, it cannot. You need to submit a separate part-time academic application to apply for vacant positions at Fullerton College. Further, if you are applying for more than one position on the same campus, you need to submit an application for each position.
Question: Do adjunct faculty members earn sick leave?
Answer: Yes, adjunct faculty members who perform assignments during a regular semester or trimester shall be credited with one (1) hour of regular sick leave for every eighteen (18) hours of service. (See Article 14 of the Adjunct Faculty United agreement.)
Question: Do adjunct faculty members earn summer sick leave?
Answer: Yes, in addition to the regular sick leave balance, adjunct faculty members shall receive sick leave credit for summer assignments on the basis of one (1) hour of sick leave for every (18) hours of service, not to exceed the cumulative totals per academic year.
