Learn how she wrote about her family, her changing body, being an undocumented immigrant, trauma, and other secrets, and survived the telling.
Grace Talusan was born in the Philippines and raised in New England. She is a 2022 US Artist Fellow, NEA Creative Writing Fellow, and Brother Thomas Fellow. The Body Papers, her first book, won the Restless Books Prize for New Immigrant Writing and the Massachusetts Book Award in Nonfiction. She teaches in the Nonfiction Writing Program at Brown University.
