SPRING SEMESTER – Ms. Purtell commented on spring semester preparations, including the class schedule; online teaching and curriculum development and approval; and student support services, such as laptop loans, drive-up Wi-Fi and drive-thru food distribution at the Anaheim Campus, Emergency Aid Program, counseling, ARISE Hub services, virtual Career Resource Center workshops and individual support, and assistance with transitioning to college… GRATITUDE – The President expressed gratitude for NOCE students, faculty and staff, and wished a happy Thanksgiving to all.

SOROPTIMIST CLUB OF CYPRESS – Dr. Schilling thanked Board Vice President Barbara Dunsheath for her lecture on a "Women's Right to Vote" at the Soroptimist Club of Cypress on November 18, 2020… CAPED AWARDS – The President congratulated DSS Counselor Dawn Decker for receiving CAPED's highest honor – the 2020 President's Award, as well as Dance Professor Maha Afra for being honored as CAPED's Teacher of the Year… WESTERN PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE – Dr. Schilling recognized students Joyce Lin, Ryan Chieng, and Traci Nguyen for presenting research papers at the Western Psychological Association Conference in October 2020… KWANZAA CELEBRATION – The President invited all to join the college at 5 p.m. on December 8, 2020 for the virtual Annual Kwanzaa Celebration in which students will present the seven principles of Kwanzaa… GRATITUDE – Dr. Schilling expressed gratitude for colleagues at the college and across the District during a challenging year, as well as wished a happy Thanksgiving to all.

CLASSIFIED RECOGNITION AWARDS – Dr. Schulz announced that the Classified Senate honored Azin Biatani in Academic Computing Technologies and Adam Zerue in Facilities with Fall 2020 Classified Recognition Awards… THE HORNET ARTICLE – The President commented on press related to The Hornet article "Fullerton College Athletic Trainers Pave the Way for Safe Sports Conditioning"… THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE – Dr. Schulz shared that more than 300 students and families received groceries and grocery gift cards at the college's Thanksgiving Food Drive on November 24, 2020. The President expressed gratitude to those who helped make the food drive possible, and wished all a happy Thanksgiving.

DMA DONATIONS – District Management Association President Elect Ty Volcy shared that DMA is supporting student basic needs by donating $500 to each campus food bank, as well as welcomed incoming Board Member Evangelina Rosales to the Board of Trustees.
NOCE PERSONAL CARE AIDE PROGRAM – NOCE Academic Senate President Jennifer Oo called attention to the new CTE and ESL program Personal Care Aide which pairs career technical with English skills in the I-BEST format.
CYPRESS COLLEGE ACADEMIC SENATE UPDATES – Cypress College Academic Senate President Craig Goralski provided updates from the November 12, 2020 Senate meeting, including the vote to reconvene the COVID-19 Ad Hoc Committee; campus budget presentation from Vice President, Administrative Services, Alex Porter; first draft of a resolution supporting parts of the Black Lives Matter Task Force recommendations; vote to approve a letter of support for Fullerton College students in light of the October 27, 2020 Associated Students meeting; and Senate's support for the Board Administrative Procedure 5041, Gender and Chosen Name.
FULLERTON COLLEGE ACADEMIC SENATE UPDATES – Fullerton College Academic Senate President Kim Orlijan congratulated Fullerton College classified professionals Azin Biatani and Adam Zerue for receiving Fall 2020 Classified Recognition Awards, as well as provided updates from the November 19, 2020 Senate meeting, including discussions concerning the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 academic calendars.
UF UPDATES – United Faculty President Christie Diep shared that the Spring 2021 COVID-19 MOU was ratified by 95% of the voting membership, as well as commented that UF continues to stand in solidarity with Fullerton College students.
SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS & EMPLOYEES – CSEA President Dawnmarie Neate shared that CSEA stands in solidarity with students and all marginalized faculty and staff across the District.
ADFAC UNITED UPDATES – Adjunct Faculty United President Lauren Mata reported on a "Know Your Contract" event for members, the Re-hire Rights and Spring 2021 COVID-19 MOUs, and what it means to be a servant leader.

FINALS – Fullerton College Student Trustee Chloe Reyes commented that students are preparing for finals and wished a safe and healthy Thanksgiving to all.
CCLC CONVENTION – Board Member Ed Lopez reported on his participation in CCLC's first virtual convention in which he attended sessions on DEI and anti-racism, as well as noted that CCLC is making revisions to its board policy templates to guide community college districts.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT – Board Member Jeffrey Brown thanked Adjunct Faculty United President Lauren Mata for her comments on what it means to be a servant leader.
COMMENTS – Board Vice President Barbara Dunsheath reported on the upcoming #RealCollegeCalifornia Basic Needs Summit on December 4, 2020 and her participation in CCLC's first virtual convention, specifically the new Women's Caucus.
CONGRATULATIONS – Board Member Stephen Blount congratulated Fullerton College classified professionals Azin Biatani and Adam Zerue for receiving Fall 2020 Classified Recognition Awards.
CCLC CONVENTION – Board President Ryan Bent commented on his participation in CCLC's first virtual convention in which he attended an informative session on layoffs.

ACCO ENGINEERED SYSTEMS – The Board authorized the request to file the Notice of Completion for Bid #1819-09, Fullerton College Building 3000 HVAC Equipment Replacement project with ACCO Engineered Systems and pay the final retention payment when due.
NKS MECHANICAL CONTRACTING, INC. – The Board authorized the request to file the Notice of Completion for Bid #1920-05, Fullerton College Building 3100 Data Room HVAC Replacement project with NKS Mechanical Contracting, Inc. and pay the final retention payment when due.
PLANNET CONSULTING – The Board authorized the request to amend the Project Management Contract with PlanNet Consulting to extend the original contract to December 2021 and increase the scope to include validation of procurement and invoicing in the amount of $144,170, bringing the total contract amount to $372,840.
JOB ACCESS REVERSE COMMUTE GRANT – The Board accepted new funding of $315,800 under the Job Access Reverse Commute Grant to the North Orange Continuing Education Disability Support Services Department for the period of October 1, 2020 through September 30, 2022, and enter into Cooperative Agreement No.C-0-2457 which includes the Language Assessment Plan between NOCE and OCTA.
INSTITUTIONAL COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY FIVE-YEAR REPORT – The Board received the District Institutional Commitment to Diversity Five-Year Report 2015/16 – 2019/20. Click here to view the presentation.
ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING & 2021 MEETING CALENDAR – The Board established Tuesday, December 15, 2020, as the date of its Organizational Meeting and amended, if necessary, the suggested 2021 meeting calendar.
BOARD POLICIES – The Board adopted the revised Board Policies in Chapter 2.
ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURE – The Board adopted the new Administrative Procedure 5041, Gender and Chosen Name.

FORMAL COMPLAINTS – The Board acknowledged receipt of the formal complaints and determined the next steps in the process.
