Cypress College – Dr. JoAnna Schilling, President
COMMENCEMENT – Dr. Schilling announced that 600 plus graduates participated in the Cypress College Commencement Ceremony on May 24, 2019, and that 1,900 degrees were awarded to more than 1,500 students… SHARK TANK COMPETITION – The President shared that five student teams presented entrepreneurial ideas, budgets, and business plans during the Business Program's 4th Annual Shark Tank Competition… FILM FESTIVAL – Dr. Schilling commented that short films, animated films, documentaries, and digital innovations created by students were showcased at the Media and Digital Arts Program's Annual Film Festival… CLASSIFIED APPRECIATION WEEK – The President reported that the President's Office sponsored donuts and coffee on May 20, 2019 and a cookie break on May 21, 2019 in celebration of Classified Appreciation Week.
Fullerton College – Dr. Greg Schulz, President
COMMENCEMENT – Dr. Schulz commented that the 104th Fullerton College Commencement Ceremony marked the institution's fourth consecutive year of growth with 3,729 degrees applied for during the 2018-19 academic year… GUIDED PATHWAYS – The President announced that the college will host a campus-wide Guided Pathways Summer Symposium on August 15, 2019… SCHOLARSHIPS – Dr. Schulz shared that the Fullerton College Foundation awarded over $250,000 in scholarships to students during the Annual Foundation Scholarship Reception on May 17, 2019… ADMINISTRATOR OF THE YEAR – The President announced that Library/LRISPS Dean Dani Wilson has been named Administrator of the Year by the Fullerton College Academic Senate.
North Orange Continuing Education – Valentina Purtell, Provost
COMMENCEMENT – Ms. Purtell announced that Anaheim City Council Member Stephen Faessel will serve as the featured speaker at the 2019 NOCE Commencement Ceremony on June 28 at Cottonwood Church in Los Alamitos … ECE MINI-CONFERENCE – The Provost shared that as part of the Career Technical Education Workshop Series, NOCE will host an Early Childhood Education Mini-conference on June 4, 2019… LEAP FACULTY INSERVICE – Ms. Purtell reported that the Lifeskills Education Advancement Program hosted more than 100 faculty members for the Annual Faculty Inservice on May 23, 2019… PROJECT SEARCH COLLABORATION – The Provost commented that NOCE and the North Orange County Regional Consortium Disability Support Services is partnering with Project Search, Department of Rehabilitation, Regional Center of Orange County, Kaiser Permanente—Anaheim, and Goodwill Industries of Orange County to implement a Project Search collaboration in Anaheim.

AWARD RECIPIENTS & DMA OFFICERS – District Management Association President Richard Fee thanked Chancellor's Staff for recognizing the 2019 North Star Award and Above & Beyond Award recipients, and shared that newly-elected DMA officers will be introduced at the Management Retreat on June 5, 2019.
NOCE ADMINISTRATIVE PROFESSIONALS & BP 2310 – NOCE Academic Senate President Tina McClurkin introduced members of the NOCE Administrative Professionals team, and commented on Board Policy 2310, Regular Meetings of the Board, as well as Robert's Rules of Order.
CYPRESS COLLEGE ACADEMIC SENATE UPDATES – Cypress College Academic Senate President Craig Goralski commented on Commencement, Guided Pathways faculty leadership structures, Curriculum Committee bylaws and workflow changes, and Senate election results.

BOARD POLICIES & CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS – Adjunct Faculty United President Kent Stevenson shared concerns pertaining to Board Policy 2355, Decorum and Board Policy 2310, Regular Meetings of the Board, as well as adjunct faculty contract negotiations.

GRATITUDE – Fullerton College Student Trustee Pascual Castillo expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve on the Board of Trustees during the 2018-19 academic year.
NORTH STAR AWARDS & COMMUNITY UPDATES – Board Member Stephen Blount thanked 2019 North Star Award recipients from the Fullerton College Fine Arts Division for gifting a digital arts book to members of the Board, and reported on a recent Regional Military Affairs Committee meeting, Fullerton College Veterans Golf Classic, and Cypress College Veterans Resource Center project.
CAMPUS EVENTS – Board Member Molly McClanahan shared that she attended the 2019 Commencement Ceremonies and Cypress College Nurse Pinning Ceremony.
BOARD POLICY SUBCOMMITTEE – Board Member Ryan Bent commented that the Board Policy Subcommittee is reviewing policies, including parliamentary procedures and Robert's Rule of Order.

EMSI – The Board authorized the request to amend the agreement with Emsi to increase the agreement by $4,000, from $146,700 to $150,700, for the purchase of additional Alumni Insight data user licenses for the California Adult Education Program.
AUHSD CCAP DUAL ENROLLMENT PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT – The Board ratified the Amendment of the 2018-2019 NOCCCD and Anaheim Union High School District College and Career Access Pathways (CCAP) Dual Enrollment Partnership Agreement.
BOUSD CCAP DUAL ENROLLMENT PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT – The Board ratified the Amendment of the 2018-2021 NOCCCD and Brea Olinda Unified School District CCAP Dual Enrollment Partnership Agreement.
FJUHSD CCAP DUAL ENROLLMENT PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT – The Board ratified the Amendment of the 2018-2021 NOCCCD and Fullerton Joint Union High School District CCAP Dual Enrollment Partnership Agreement.
PYLUSD CCAP DUAL ENROLLMENT PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT – The Board ratified the Amendment of the 2018-2021 NOCCCD and Placentia Yorba Linda Unified School District CCAP Dual Enrollment Partnership Agreement.
RETIREMENT – The Board approved the retirement of Bruce Miller, Fullerton College Music Instructor, effective June 1, 2019.
ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES – The Board received as information the revised Administrative Procedures in Chapters 2, 5, and 6.
