Cypress College – Dr. JoAnna Schilling, President
OC TEACHER OF THE YEAR – Dr. Schilling announced that English Professor Alyssa Gorman was nominated by Cypress College students for OC Teacher of the Year… HOMELESSNESS 101 – The President commented that the college will be sponsoring a Homelessness 101 training from OC United Way on April 23, 2019… ATHLETICS HALL OF FAME – Dr. Schilling shared that the college honored 11 athletes and coaches at the Athletics Hall of Fame on March 30, 2019… BOARD OF GOVERNORS – The President reported that the college hosted Board of Governors President Thomas Epstein and Trustees Blas Villalobos and Bill Rawlings for a meeting with the executive team, campus tour, and luncheon on March 28, 2019.
Fullerton College – Dr. Greg Schulz, President
FULLERTON COLLEGE NIGHT AT ANGEL STADIUM – Dr. Schulz shared that over 900 members of the Hornet family enjoyed the 4th Annual Fullerton College Night at Angel Stadium on April 5, 2019… STRATEGIC CONVERSATION #20 – The President commented that the college was pleased to welcome over 200 participants, including 20 students, to this year's Strategic Conversation focusing on addressing basic needs for student health, well-being, and success… CALIFORNIA ACTE POST-SECONDARY TEACHER OF THE YEAR – Dr. Schulz announced that Biology Professor Dr. Jo Wen Wu was honored by the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) as the 2018-19 California ACTE Post-Secondary Teacher of the Year… FINANCIAL AID AWARENESS MONTH – The President reported that the Financial Aid Office is leading the way in educating students about financial literacy and financial aid with one-on-one appointments and workshops on saving, budgeting, and understanding loans and credit.
North Orange Continuing Education – Valentina Purtell, Provost
CTE CAREER FAIR – Ms. Purtell announced that the CTE Program will host a Career Fair on May 16, 2019… STUDENT EQUITY SYMPOSIUM – The Provost reported that NOCE is partnering with the District, Cypress College, and Fullerton College to host the 2019 Student Equity Symposium on April 26 in the Cypress College Theater… "DREAM YOUR FUTURE" EVENT – Ms. Purtell shared that, on May 7, 2019, NOCE will host its second "Dream Your Future" event, featuring career assessments, NOCE alumni panel, and college and financial aid exploration… DSS AWARENESS MONTH – The Provost commented on DSS Awareness Month events and activities, including workshops, a festival, and a movie night.

DMA UPDATES – District Management Association President Richard Fee announced technology changes and upcoming elections.
NOCE ACADEMIC SENATE UPDATES – NOCE Academic Senate President Tina McClurkin shared that the Senate is working with deans on logistics of the new academic calendar and distance education plan.
TRANSFER CENTER – Cypress College Academic Senate President Craig Goralski commented on Senate activities and the Transfer Center's "Don't Cancel That Class" Program.
ELECTIONS – United Faculty President Dana Clahane congratulated those involved in the planning and coordination of Strategic Conversation #20 on a successful event, and announced that UF election voting ends Friday, April 12.
CSEA UPDATES – CSEA President Dawnmarie Neate reported on the "Othering and Belonging" 2019 conference hosted by UC Berkeley's Haas Institute for a Fair and Inclusive Society, CSEA Breakfast on May 7, 2019, and a recent petition regarding the merit system.

CAMPUS ACTIVITIES – Cypress College Student Trustee Ester Plavdjian commented on Town Hall, General Assembly, and a spring lunch event on campus.
CAMPUS ACTIVITIES – Fullerton College Student Trustee Pascual Castillo shared that 900 attendees enjoyed Fullerton College Night at Angel Stadium, and commented on General Assembly and Associated Students elections.
FULLERTON COLLEGE VETERANS GOLF CLASSIC – Board Member Stephen Blount announced that he has been promoting the Fullerton College Veterans Golf Classic coming up on June 3, 2019.
STRATEGIC CONVERSATION #20 – Board Member Molly McClanahan congratulated those involved in the planning and coordination of Strategic Conversation #20 on a successful event, and thanked past Board Member Donna Miller for attending the event.

STRATEGIC CONVERSATION #20 – Board Member Jackie Rodarte reported that she appreciated the format and donation component of Strategic Conversation #20.
UPDATES – Board Member Jeffrey Brown commented on mobile applications for the campuses, the Chancellor's Assessment, and the Board of Trustees' Assessment.
Finance & Facilities
PURCHASE ORDERS & CHECKS – The Board ratified purchase orders and checks. (The Purchase Orders and Checks are available for review in the District's Business Office.)
GENERAL FUND & FINANCIAL AID FUND – The Board authorized the request to accept new revenue and to make adjustments to the General Fund and Financial Aid Fund revenue and expenditure budgets in accordance with the revised and new fiscal year 2018-2019 allocations totaling $2,831,631. The Board authorized the further request that resolutions be adopted to adjust budgets, to accept new revenue and authorize expenditures within the General Fund and Financial Aid Fund pursuant to the California Code of Regulations Title 5, Section 58308. (The Resolution is available for review in the District's Business Office.)
GENERAL FUND & CAPITAL OUTLAY FUND – The Board authorized the request for the 2018-2019 General Fund and Capital Outlay Fund transfers netting to the amount of $200,246 and adoption of the resolution showing the summary, pursuant to the California Code of Regulations, Title 5, §58307. (The Resolution is available for review in the District's Business Office.)
TRANE – The Board authorized the District Director, Purchasing, to issue a purchase order to Trane for the sole source service for the Chiller #1 at the Anaheim Campus in the amount of $107,724.
MODO LABS – The Board authorized the request to enter into a three-year subscription agreement with Modo Labs for the implementation, support, and maintenance in the amount of $651,536 for the duration of May 2019 through May 2022.
CYPRESS COLLEGE CURRICULUM – The Board approved the summary of curriculum changes for Cypress College, to be effective Fall 2019.
NSF GRANT – The Board authorized the request to accept a grant of $100,000 from the University of California, Irvine as a subgrantee of the NSF grant.
RETIREMENTS – The Board approved the retirements of Peter Snyder, Fullerton College Physical Education Instructor, effective August 26, 2019, and Darin Lamb, Fullerton College Groundskeeper, effective April 8, 2019.
FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS – The Board discussed any potential future agenda items.
