Cypress College will host the first-ever Yom HaShoah, or Holocaust Remembrance Day event, on May 4 from 7-8:30 p.m. adjacent to the campus pond. Inspired by Professor Cliff Lester’s unique portraits of Holocaust survivors, the evening will promote acceptance, inclusion, diversity, and justice, regardless of one’s race, religion, color, or creed.
Dr. Jacob Eisenbach and Ms. Natalie Weinstein-Gold, both Holocaust survivors, are among the ceremony’s featured speakers, as well as Cypress College Dance students, Professor Lester’s photography exhibit, and the lighting of memorial candles.
Admission and parking are free and all are welcome to attend. For more information, visit the Cypress College website.
