Course Scheduling Manual
This manual is intended to inform the course scheduling process for Cypress College and Fullerton College. Its aim is to ensure that all courses throughout the District are scheduled correctly and consistently with minimal loss of instructional time while maximizing apportionment.
In the Spring of 2018, a workgroup was formed to review the scheduling process and to update the previous manual that had been in use since 2013. The workgroup had representation from both campuses, including instructional deans, catalog and schedule coordinators, division office managers who work on schedule input, Banner expert, institutional researcher and the District's Educational Services staff. Following many thorough review and discussion sessions, the Course Scheduling Manual was updated. The manual was initially presented for review and input to the division office managers and administrative staff who are closely involved in the scheduling process. Next, the division deans and the vice presidents of instruction had the opportunity to provide feedback. All input and feedback received have been included in the final version.
