PRESENTER: Amber Rose González, PhD, Ethnic Studies Professor at Fullerton College
This workshop will provide participants with an analytical toolkit based in critical ethnic, gender, and queer studies. We will apply frameworks from these fields in order to better understand issues LGBTQ+ students, staff and faculty face in higher education. This workshop will be hands-on and discussion based and will ask participants to be open, honest, and self-reflective in order to contribute to an engaging and liberatory learning environment.
This workshop is part of the Pluralism, Inclusion, & Equity (P.I.E) Series. The P.I.E. Series offers workshops and trainings designed to increase our intercultural proficiency so we may provide effective teaching and support services for our diverse student body. Sponsored by the District Office of Diversity & Compliance.
