Community Health Charities and United Way
Each year, the North Orange County Community College District provides the opportunity for employees to contribute to two charitable organizations that work in our community to help people in need. Collectively, NOCCCD contributes approximately $6,000 each year to these two worthwhile charities.
Community Health Charities, an alliance of non-profit voluntary health agencies, and United Way, are both committed to improving the quality of life in Orange County. Community Health Charities addresses health issues by providing fiscal support for education, research, and treatment for a variety of diseases and health problems. United Way addresses issues such as childcare, homelessness, AIDS, drug and alcohol abuse, adult senior day care, and health care.
Every one of us is either directly or indirectly affected by the issues that Community Health Charities and United Way deal with both locally and nationally. Our support is important and appreciated.
