The Anaheim Union Educational Pledge (a.k.a Anaheim Pledge) is a collective designed to transform the lives of students through education and economic advancement. This new program guarantees all eligible Anaheim Union High School District (AUHSD) seniors one-year of free tuition to attend their freshman year at Cypress College, Fullerton College, or North Orange Continuing Education (NOCE).
Conceived over four years and developed out of the Anaheim Collaborative, The Anaheim Pledge is a dynamic partnership between AUHSD, Cypress College, Fullerton College, North Orange Continuing Education, California State University-Fullerton, University of California-Irvine, the Orange County United Way, and the City of Anaheim designed to create unique opportunities for student success.
Educational benefits of the Anaheim Pledge include:
During high school:
Dual enrollment classes to earn college credit
Parent and student workshops that focus on how to get in to college: the admission process and securing financial aid
Collaboration of Anaheim Pledge partners to provide summer internships for high school juniors through Anaheim's Innovative Mentoring Experience (AIME)
Pledge signing events for high school seniors to commit to the college of their choice
As a student at Cypress College, Fullerton College, or North Orange Continuing Education:
Priority registration during freshman year
First year tuition-free
Free English and math textbooks through the Pledge book loan program
Opportunities to participate in summer enrichment programs
Inclusion in the Guided Pathways initiative which helps students decide on a major, develop an educational plan, and create a course of study which will guarantee transfer-readiness in two years
Ready to transfer to a university:
Guaranteed admission to UC Irvine for Cypress College and Fullerton College transfer students who meet the eligibility requirements of the Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program
Transfer student eligibility for CSU Fullerton Admission Advantage program for students who attend Cypress College or Fullerton College, and who apply directly to CSUF
