EMSI ECONOMIC IMPACT REPORT PRESENTATION – Sterling Smith from Emsi presented the Economic Impact Report. The presentation highlighted the economic value of NOCCCD based on its impact on Orange County and return on investment.

Cypress College – Dr. JoAnna Schilling, President
T-TEN PROGRAM – Dr. Schilling announced that Toyota recognized the T-TEN Program for having the highest number (108) of ASE tests (stackable certifications) passed by its 2018 graduating class… AVIATION SIMULATION LAB – The President shared that, thanks to a one million dollar donation, the college is building a new Aviation Simulation Lab… CAMPUS EVENTS – Dr. Schilling invited the Board to attend Opening Day activities, including the rollout of the new Cypress College Mobile App, on August 17, 2018 and the grand opening of the Anaheim Pledge Center on September 19, 2018.
Fullerton College – Dr. Greg Schulz, President
ANAHEIM PLEDGE – Dr. Schulz shared that as of August 8, 749 Anaheim Pledge students registered for the fall semester at Fullerton College… UNIVERSITY OF REDLANDS – Dr. Schulz reported that the University of Redlands partnership with Fullerton College will launch in September and that the university has received 17 application to date… FALL CONVOCATION – The President invited the Board to attend Fall Convocation on August 17, 2018.
North Orange Continuing Education – Valentina Purtell, Provost
FTES – Ms. Purtell reported that NOCE exceeded its Full-Time Equivalent Students (FTES) goal for 2017/18 with 65.67 more FTES than the initial goal of 5,000… ANAHEIM CAMPUS CONSTRUCTION – The Provost updated the Board on Anaheim Campus construction… ANAHEIM PLEDGE – Ms. Purtell shared that NOCE welcomed Belinda Sanchez as the new Special Projects Coordinator for the Anaheim Pledge Program, which has 22 participants.

NEGOTIATIONS – United Faculty President Dana Clahane reported that the United Faculty negotiating team is planning for the 2018-19 academic year.
RATIFICATION VOTE – CSEA President Rod Lusch shared the results of the Successor Agreement with Salary and Benefits Ratification Vote.
MEMBERSHIP – ADFAC United President Kent Stevenson reported on membership growth.

CCLC STUDENT TRUSTEE WORKSHOP – Fullerton College Student Trustee Pascual Castillo shared that he attended the CCLC Student Trustees Workshop in San Francisco from August 10-12, 2018.
COMMUNITY EVENTS – Board Member Stephen Blount commented on his participation in community events.
PUBLICITY – Board Member Molly McClanahan shared that a Fullerton College artist was featured on LA Art public television and a Fullerton College instructor was featured in a CSUF News Center article on the Guardian Scholars Program.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT – Board Member Barbara Dunsheath recognized that President Emeritus Michael Kasler is returning to Cypress College to serve as Interim Executive Vice President, Educational Programs and Student Services.
Finance & Facilities
PURCHASE ORDERS & CHECKS – The Board ratified purchase orders and checks. (The Purchase Orders and Checks are available for review in the District's Business Office).
OCDE AUTHORIZED SIGNATURES – The Board adopted a resolution establishing the named persons be authorized to sign Payroll Notices of employment/change of status, time sheets, vendor orders for payment, and warrant registers as indicated, and that all previous authorization of signatures be rescinded, as authorized by §85232 of the Education Code.
MANDATE BLOCK GRANT – The Board approved opting to participate in the Mandate Block Grant for the fiscal year 2018-19.
QUARTERLY INVESTMENT REPORT – The Board reviewed the District's Quarterly Financial Status Report for the quarter ended June 30, 2018, as required by §58310 of Title 5.
SURPLUS ITEMS – The Board authorized the request to declare the attached list of items as surplus and for the Liquidation Company to conduct an auction for the sale of the surplus items.
NOCCCD & AUHSD DUAL ENROLLMENT PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT – The Board approved the NOCCCD and Anaheim Union High School District (AUHSD) College and Career Access Pathways (CCAP) Dual Enrollment Partnership Agreement 2018-19.
CC & LOS AL DUAL ENROLLMENT PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT – The Board approved the Cypress College CCAP Dual Enrollment Partnership Agreement 2018-21 with the Los Alamitos Unified School District.
FC & BOUSD DUAL ENROLLMENT PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT – The Board approved the Fullerton College CCAP Dual Enrollment Partnership Agreement 2018-21 with the Brea Olinda Unified School District.
FC & FJUHSD DUAL ENROLLMENT PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT – The Board approved the Fullerton College CCAP Dual Enrollment Partnership Agreement 2018-21 with the Fullerton Joint Union High School District.
FC & PYLUSD DUAL ENROLLMENT PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT – The Board approved the Fullerton College CCAP Dual Enrollment Partnership Agreement 2018-21 with the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District.
NOCCCD/FC & FSD EDUCATIONAL CONSULTING AGREEMENT – The Board approved the Fullerton School District and NOCCCD/Fullerton College Educational Consulting Agreement.
RETIREMENT – The Board approved the retirement of Manuel Verdugo, Cypress College PE Athletic Equipment Coordinator, effective August 1, 2018.
PROMOTIONS – The Board approved the promotions of Catherine Osborne to Fullerton College Instructional Assistant, Math Lab, effective August 15, 2018 and Teresa Perry White to Fullerton College Bookstore Operations Specialist, effective August 15, 2018.
BOARD GOALS – The Board discussed the possibility of having Board goals and next steps.
FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS – The Board discussed any potential future agenda items.
