Newly appointed as the Chancellor of the North Orange County Community College District, Dr. Cheryl Marshall has long been an advocate of student success and collaborative decision-making. Dr. Marshall has over 20 years in higher education, with experiences ranging from President, to Vice President of Instruction, to Director for the Center of Excellence, to teaching and facilitating a variety of business courses and seminars. Dr. Marshall has dedicated much of her professional time to partnering with fellow educators, community members, and business colleagues to strengthen the alignment of pathways from school to career.
Highly sought after for her leadership experience, Dr. Marshall has served on numerous executive committees at the local, regional, and state level; including being elected as the Vice President for Southern California of the Chief Executive Officers Board of the California Community Colleges (CEOCCC). A well-rounded educator, Dr. Marshall has taught over 60 undergraduate and graduate course specializing in management, organizational behavior, and human resource development.
Dr. Marshall earned her doctorate of education from USC and her master of arts in industrial/organizational psychology from California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB). In 2013, Dr. Marshall was inducted into CSUSB’s College of Social and Behavioral Sciences Hall of Fame, and, in 2014, she was selected by Senator Mike Morrell as a Woman of Distinction.
Dr. Marshall and her husband, Patrick, have two children.
