Ester Plavdjian is a sophomore studying psychology with an emphasis on social and behavioral sciences. She enrolled at Cypress College after graduating from Western High School, where she was involved in Raising Student Voices and Participation, Fashion Club, Key Club, and Health Occupations Club. Through the Allied Health Academy, Ester received the opportunity to intern at Kaiser Permanente. Her success at Kaiser earned her Senate, Legislative, and Congress awards. Ester was a swimmer in high school, and even helped coach during her third year on the team.
Her desire to participate in campus activities only grew stronger when she transitioned to Cypress College. Ester is a member of Associated Students; first serving as the Activities Coordinator, and now, as the Student Trustee. Ester's long term goal is to open her own practice as a general practitioner. To accomplish this goal, Ester plans to transfer to the University of California, Irvine (UCI) to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and apply to UCI's School of Medicine.
Ester has an older brother, and her parents migrated to the United States from Armenia. In her free time, Ester enjoys swimming, reading, and hiking.
