Useful Features

Discusson Group  Discussion groups are convenient and highly effective way facilitating group communication where group members are geographically dispersed and may not "meet" at one specific time. Participants in the discussion group may reply. There replies are typically "seen" or received by ALL members of the discussion group. See discussion groups for a list of the available topics. This page also describes the detailed operation of each discussion group and provide information about hwo to subscribe. Some discussion groups have limits or restrictions to their membership, for practical reasons, or to keep the group within a specific interest area.
List Server  A List Server is a central service that is administered by a single person or small group. The administrator stage material, usually text, for distribution by email. The material is sent out to all of the recipients on the list server's mailing "list." Recipients may reply to the administrator. You must request membership on the list server by subscribing.
Newsletter  A NOCCCD we have several kinds of newsletters. Some are delivered on paper, in the U.S. Mail. Others are delivered in their full content to you via email. Still others are delivered to you as an email announcment. Within the email message is a URL link. When you click on the link, or paste it into your browser, your browser displays or downloads the actual content of the newsletter. In all cases, you must request a subscription from the administrator on that newsletter. For more information, read about the different newsletters available and how to subscribe.
