| Discusson Group
Discussion groups are convenient and highly effective
way facilitating group communication where group
members are geographically dispersed and may not
"meet" at one specific time. Participants in
the discussion group may reply. There replies are
typically "seen" or received by ALL members
of the discussion group. See discussion groups for a
list of the available topics. This page also describes
the detailed operation of each discussion group and
provide information about hwo to subscribe. Some
discussion groups have limits or restrictions to their
membership, for practical reasons, or to keep the
group within a specific interest area. |

| List Server
A List Server is a central service that is
administered by a single person or small group. The
administrator stage material, usually text, for
distribution by email. The material is sent out to all
of the recipients on the list server's mailing
"list." Recipients may reply to the
administrator. You must request membership on the list
server by subscribing. |

| Newsletter
A NOCCCD we have several kinds of newsletters. Some
are delivered on paper, in the U.S. Mail. Others are
delivered in their full content to you via email.
Still others are delivered to you as an email
announcment. Within the email message is a URL link.
When you click on the link, or paste it into your
browser, your browser displays or downloads the actual
content of the newsletter. In all cases, you must
request a subscription from the administrator on that
newsletter. For more information, read about the
different newsletters available and how to subscribe. |
